We are a community-owned development trust working to buy local assets, create sustainable enterprises, and keep wealth right here in Comrie.
For too long, decisions about Comrie were made somewhere else. CDT was formed by local residents to take practical action — not just talk. We are a “doing” organisation that uses community enterprise to solve local challenges, manage land and buildings, and keep the benefits in Comrie.
Anyone living in or around Comrie can become a member, giving our town a strong, democratic voice in how the Trust operates.
We bring local assets into community ownership and run them as sustainable enterprises — starting with Cultybraggan Camp in 2007.
Surpluses are reinvested into Comrie to create jobs, fund services, support local groups, and build lasting community wealth.
Volunteer-led teams delivering woodland planting, climate action, and community growing projects across Comrie and the Earn valley.
Our main community asset — a former WWII prisoner of war camp managed by CDT. Stay, hire a venue, run a business, or come and explore.
One of Scotland's best-preserved WWII POW camps. Exhibits, the Jail Block, and school visits — open to all.
Join a working group, become a member, or volunteer with CDT. Everyone in Comrie has a stake in what we do.
Our strength comes from our members. Membership is open to all residents and supporters, takes a few minutes, and gives you a vote on what we do next.
